The Winner of International Environmental Photography 2009

Incredible! This is the photo that wins the International Environmental Photography Prize 2009. Look on how the photographer could catch very small detail -the life of the ants- shot it, and produced an incredible photograph. It is, Bolucevshci Vitali, a 24 years old amateur photographer, that win this world photographic competition.

This photograph tells us the life of the ants in detail. They were climbing up a dandelion flower. They’re pulling up a seed from the flower and then parachute to the ground. Too bad, Vitali couldn’t catch this moments very well. This is a photograph of the last few ants before they’re pulling up the seed and flew down.

The competition gathered 2,500 pictures from 60 countries. This is a huge competition. I hope this kind of competition will continue to grow. It is a good way to show that we really care for the environment. How about you? are you ready to grab a camera and start taking pictures of the environment.
