Stress and Heart Disease
Do you know that stress could cause heart disease? A study from Wake Forest University of Medicine states that social stress could cause heart disease by making the body to deposit more fat, and build up the plaque in blood vessels. When it happens to you, you are just one step from having a heart attack.
The study was done by using monkeys as the object of experiment. The female monkeys were given foods containing fat and cholesterol. Those poor monkeys were placed in groups, so some social groups were quickly formed from dominant to subordinate. The subordinate monkeys have more social stress since they become the target of aggressions by other dominant monkeys. In the end, the study found that the subordinate monkeys releases more stress hormones that create the deposition of fat in the body. This condition will lead to a heart disease.

Stress can come from anywhere and one of its sources is your job. Yes, your job could be the biggest source of your daily stress. When you work, you are expected to be perfect. No boss would be happy when you make 10 mistakes in a day. You will have a big load of job everyday, and you only have 2 day off in a week.
Whatever your source of stress is, the most important thing is that we are able to avoid it or solve it. You should be able to look for help for depression and know how to relieve stress. There are many things that you can do, take a vacation, going out with your friends or family or take a 5 minutes meditation everyday. But when you think that you need more professional help, you can try the Guided Imagery by Belleruth.
For me, the best way to avoid stress is to find the biggest source of your stress, admit it, and try to overcome it. Good luck!
